Julia Galeano is a Honduran artist, born in Tegucigalpa in 1990. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Parsons, The New School for Design, and received her Master's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Printmaking from Pratt Institute, both located in New York.

Her most recent artistic production discusses negative stigmas surrounding the body and sexuality, with the purpose of generating conversations about a topic that is often considered shameful and subject to censorship. Through her art, Galeano seeks to challenge social norms and prejudices surrounding sexuality and the body.

In her work, Galeano employs a variety of techniques and materials to create provocative pieces that often defy cultural and social conventions. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Honduras and New York. Galeano has collaborated with Women in the Arts and has been an invited artist to various events, including the 2022 Latin American Printmaking Triennial in New York.
