Mea Culpa
2018 - 2021
Mea Culpa reflects on the history of the religious doctrine and its stigmatization of sex and pleasure. The pieces thrive on the juxtaposition of seemingly disparate realms, fostering inner dialogues involving religious and sexual iconography that use sarcasm to outline usually unseen similarities. The boundaries of censorship, whether self-imposed or otherwise, are part of the illusions I seek to dispel.
